Morocco

Travel Info

When to go

Year-round really, Summer can be pretty hot. Winter can get cold at night, and expect snow if you trek in the mountains. The Fall and Spring offer the best of both worlds.

Cost

I travelled for about 25-30$/day (2019). See my complete travel cost breakdown. For today's prediction visit this website.

How long do I need

I had 2 weeks in Morocco and was able to see most of the things I wanted, but 3 weeks might be better if you want to see everything.

Personal Highlights

  • Fez City and its tanneries
  • Marrakech Square, Djemaa El Fna: See musicians, handcrafts, gamblers, snake charmers all within a few steps from each other.
  • Chefchaouen: Known as the blue city.
  • Medinas: Get lost in the maze of these markets.
  • The High Atlas: Imlil, a perfect trekking base.
  • Essaouira: A beautiful fishing town.
  • Aït Ben Habbou: An old city straight out of movies, literally, many movies have been filmed there.
