When to go

Year-round, June to October can be scorching hot. December to February sees more rain and cold weather in high elevation. March to May offers some of the best time to visit (less rain, warm but not crazy hot, and the beautiful flowers are out in the north).

How long do I need

You could rush through the country in a week, but allow 2 weeks if you want to see everything.

​It is a small country, but it has plenty of cool sights.

Personal Highlights
  • Petra: Take at least the 2-day entry, there is just too much to see and do there.
  • Little Petra: If you can, walk from Petra to Little Petra, the trail is beautiful and part of the Jordan Trail.
  • Wadi Rum: Petroglyphs, rock bridges, beautiful rock formation, Lawrence of Arabia's house, and so much more.
  • Dana Biosphere Reserve: It deserves a stop.
  • Tomb of Aaron: Climb up the tomb of the brother of Moses.
  • Aqaba: Enjoy a beautiful sunset over the Red Sea.
  • Karak: An impressive castle that offers beautiful views on the surroundings.
  • Roman ruins in Jerash
  • Madaba: Visit the city of Mosaics.
  • Jebel Um Adaami​: Hike up Jordan's highest peak (1823 metres).
